Have you ever sent a cold email and felt like it just...disappeared into a black hole? Your prospect probably didn't even open it, did they?
Man, that's THE WORST feeling. It's enough to make you want to pull your hair out and say "Why am I even trying??"
Well, chill - We've got a life-changing solution for you today. We’re about to share 5 brain-crazy simple tricks we personally use to get prospects HOOKED on our emails. This stuff is so easy, even a 5-year-old could do it.
After reading this, your open rates are gonna go through the roof. Your prospects will be like "Damn, this salesperson really vibes with me!"
You ready for these genius life hacks? Let's get it!
Trick #1: Talk Like Your Prospect 💬
Look, nobody wants to read a bunch of big corporate words and fancy jargon. Your prospects just want to feel like you "get" them, you know?
So use the same language and slang your prospects use when shooting the breeze with their buddies. Stalk forums, interview customers, see how your prospects really talk in the real world.
Visit g2.com or other forums to see how your prospects speak.

Trick #2: Simple Words Only 🤷♂️
Along those lines, ditch any complicated tech mumbo-jumbo! Using insider lingo makes you sound arrogant and snobby. Your prospect shouldn't need a dictionary just to understand one email.
Keep it super simple and basic. Use plain English that even an 8-year-old could easily read and "get" what you're saying.
We use Hemingwayapp.com to ensure this newsletter is written at grade 5 english. Cool, Right?
Trick #3: Active Voice Rocks 💥
Passive voice = snoozefest. It makes your emails sound meek and boring. Active voice is where it's at - it's punchy, direct, and commands attention!
Active: "Our tool will increase your revenue." Passive: "Revenue will be increased by your company with our tool."
Which one did you understand better? See, active voice is wayyyy more powerful.

Trick #4: Keep It Short & Sweet 📉
Today's prospects have an attention span of about 2 seconds(ok thats exaggeration but you get the point). Any email longer than a few sentences will just make their eyes glaze over.
Trim out all the fluff, filler words, unnecessary backstory. Get straight to explaining your value in as few words as possible.
Short emails = easier to read and respond to. Plus, you seem super considerate of your prospect's limited time!
Trick #5: Make It All About Them 👈
Finally, don't make your emails about you, you, you. Nobody cares about that! Your prospects only want to know one thing: "What's in it for ME?"
So litter those "you" and "your" words all through your email. Make the whole message about THEM and how your product solves THEIR problems.
Doing this triggers those primal hunter-gatherer brain cells in your prospect that say "Ooh, this is relevant and important to ME!"
And there you have it, folks! Follow those 5 hyper-simple tricks and your cold emails will transform into prospect-grabbing machines.
Now get out there and start writing emails people actually want to open and read! Your pipeline will be overflowing in no time.
That’s it for this week folks!
